Dudick, Inc. and Silica Safety

April 11, 2016

With the new OSHA regulations taking place June 23, 2016 in regards to Silica in the workplace, Dudick, Inc. is adding a dust suppressant to its silica filler/aggregate components. Nearly all coatings that are produced in the world contain some sort of silica/filler. Even though Dudick, Inc. has always been proud of its products containing very low emissions Dudick, Inc. implemented the addition of silica suppressants in January 2016 and is one the first to do so.

This suppressant is an odorless, nontoxic, environmentally safe liquid specifically designed to control dust levels during the transfer, mixing, and handling of dry materials. Listed below are the advantages of using a dust suppressant:

• Reduces respiratory dust by up to 90%
• Reduces visible dust by 30-40%
• Remaining dust settles more quickly and closer to the job site
• Carries no special disposal requirements
• Simplifies compliance with environmental regulations
• Safe, cleaner work site
• Increased productivity because of better visibility within work area

Dudick, Inc. is strongly committed to the safety and wellbeing of our employees and any individual/group that comes in contact with our products/services. Social responsibility starts with the operation of the offices and plants and we here at Dudick, Inc. welcome the new OSHA regulations.
